Good morning everyone.

I'm up bright and early so I thought I'd start the thread.  I am so far behind at work with taking last week off to be with my daughter.  We don't really have back ups at work so the work does not get done when you are gone..  This week I'll be working late and going in early to try and catch up 40 hours of work!

QOTD:  Are you a 'snoozer'?  I mean, when your alarm goes off in the morning do you hit the snooze button or just get right up?  I am a snoozer. I purposely set my alarm a half hour early so I can 'snooze'.   I set my alarm this morning for 5:00 a.m. knowing I would hit snooze three times (9 minutes between the alarm going off) and get up at 5:30.  Steve on the other hand, hears his alarm go off, jumps out of bed, turns on a light, turns on the TV, and starts his day.  I don't think I've ever known him to hit the snooze button!  I'm the type that needs to wake up more slowly....three 'snoozes' and I'm good to go :-)

Have a great day everyone!

Nan

Good Morning Nan and everyone!

Its still raining here.  I wonder if my son will ever get a softball practice in.  I guess we have all summer to practice in the sunshine.

QOTD-I am a life-long snoozer.  I set my alarm really early too!  My DH is the worst sleeper ever.  He cannot get up with an alarm.  I have to grab him and shake him and yell and scream to get him up.  It bugs me!  I set my cell phone, clock radio and regular phone alarms because I'm so paranoid about oversleeping and missing work or the bus.  And all three of these things have snooze buttons on them.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning.  I'm up early but not very brightly.  I have been doing some reading regarding my mom's dementia.  She doesn't have Alzheimer's, but rather something called Lewy Body Disease.  It's basically Parkinson's with dementia.  It's not very uplifting reading.  Sigh.....

I'm thinking of taking Dub to the library for their "Babytime".  He's so interested in other children when he sees them while we're out, so I thought I'd try to find an outlet for him to interact with others.  We shall see, though.  Shouldn't really leave my mom home alone.

QOTD:My current alarm clock does not have a "snooze" button.  It normally goes off around 6:30 or so.  Sometimes, my alarm clock lets me sleep in until 7:30!  It's name is DUB!  Before I had Dub, though, I would typically hit the snooze button once before I got up and I set my clock 10 or 15 minutes ahead.  If I was up later than normal on a worknight, then yeah, I hit the snooze.  But getting up with Dub at 6:30 every morning sure beats my old alarm clock waking me up at 5!

Tina, Dub is causing me to have some serious Mommy flashbacks!

I loved taking Shane to library time.  All the other kids would be dressed up and sitting together listening to the story.  Shane would be covered in his own drool and throwing the books around and having a converstaion with himself, or the floor, or the chair, or me, or whomever would listen.  It was still a fun way to get out of the house.

I still have the "Arthur" (from PBS) theme song as Shane's ringtone on my phone.  I just can't believe he's almost an adult.  I know you will, but cherish this time with the Dubster.  It really does go by as quickly as everyone says it does!

Tina - I am sorry to hear about your mom!!  She is lucky to have you to care for her.

Brenda - I know what you mean what you say about your DH and trying to wake him up.  My son is the same way.  Have to shake him, yell, turn on the light, tear the covers off him, anything to get him to wake up.  I am always paranoid if I'm not there at home he'll sleep through his alarm and be late for school or work!

Good morning all...they are saying a little rain for today but the next week looks good! Bathroom demolition is underway so I am excited to be able to open the windows and air out some of the dust!

QOTD: I am not a snoozer. I set my alarm for 4:45 AM and get up, do my workout, take a shower, jump on Facebook for a few minutes and then get ready for work.

Hi Nan!
Yes, I'm a snoozer.  Well, I don't hit the snooze button, I just turn the alarm off and roll back over, but, I'm pretty good about getting up about 30 minutes later.  I wish I was a "jump out of bed" person...

My alarm goes off at 5:30 then the coffee maker grinding the beans goes off at 5:40 - so that is a 2nd wake-up for me.  I got out of bed at 6:30 this morning - late!

Good Morning !

I wish the sun would shine !  Golfed in the rain last night, couldn't complain to bad because at least it wasn't ten degrees lower out and I had rode motorcycle in the rain the day before *sigh*.

QOTD: Yes, in years past I was a snoozer, that is why the alarm is on the other side of the room so I have to get out of bed.  I used to snooze it until it didn't snooze anymore and oversleep, I wouldn't even remember doing it.  When my late husband was alive I didn't have to worry about it, his eyes would open at 5 am and he would jump out of bed without an alarm.  He would wake me and the 3 kids up all at different intervals so we had our bathroom time (only one in the house at the time).  If you didn't get up you missed your turn and that might cause you to be late, but that was your own fault. Then I started using an alarm again.   In the last 7 years I learned I could set my tv to turn on and that is now my alarm, it starts up at 6:00 and I sleep/listen to it for the next hour and then finally get up.  The dogs used to get us up earlier but since the time change they don't know it is 6:00 already so they sleep in (yay).  Don't look forward to the fall time change *sigh*.

Have a great day!
